Miranda Reeves, LCSW
Are you looking for a supportive and understanding therapist for your child or teen? With 9 years of experience in social work and 2 years of clinical practice, I am dedicated to helping young individuals navigate life's challenges.
I specialize in working with school-age children and teens as well as young adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, foster care and adoption issues, LGBTQ identity, and trauma.
I enjoy using play therapy techniques in sessions!
My goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment where your child can express themselves and find healing.
Using a person-centered approach, I prioritize your child's unique needs and experiences. I incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), play and art therapy, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and mindfulness practices. This allows me to tailor the therapy process to best support your child's growth and well-being.
When I'm not in the therapy room, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, soaking up the beautiful weather with my two boys, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals at their games.
I look forward to partnering with you and your child on their journey towards emotional wellness.
Miranda Reeves is under supervision.
